Last summer, I spent a weekend at a lake cabin with my now-husband, one of his groomsmen, and two friends of said groomsman, a couple who had been dating for about a year. While the guys crashed on the sofas, Jessica and I bunked together, giggling into the wee hours of the morning about weddings and all the beautiful trimmings that go with getting married. See, my big day was just three months from that night. Meanwhile, she sighed, “I don’t know when I’ll get married, but….”
Just over a month later, she and her boyfriend got engaged. This past Saturday, a beautiful, sunny day, she and Nathan tied the knot at LPGA International, the same gorgeous site where I had my reception. Now they’re off enjoying a honeymoon in St. Thomas.
Here’s wishing them a happily ever after that’s even happier than they imagined!
